Teams will not recognise Bluetooth headphones when joining calls.
I have tried restarting, clearing cache, clearing storage and reinstalling. I have tried multiple different models of headphones from completely different manufacturers. I have tried different phones.
This is not a user issue. This is an issue with the application. Several posts have been made.
Please fix it.
EDIT: the 'Nearby Devices' permission will fix this issue in most cases. For me, it worked temporarily (for one call) and then reverted to the same issue. However, the issue does now seem to be fixed - I have had consistent success for about 2 months now. I am assuming that a recent update to the app has fixed an issue that was causing this.

I had the same problem, and I noticed it was because of the permission setting of TEAMS.
I reinstalled Teams and accepted the "Nearby devices." access and it works now.

I have the same issue. Very frustrating that MS will not acknowledge an issue. It is not permissions, or old app or need to reset all cases. Tried all that and it dose not help. All other apps use the BT hearing aids just fine.
This!! I noticed that when I did a reinstall - the application asked for permissions to nearby devices... so I was like sure! It worked after a reinstall (plus cleared cache and deleted files etc...)

This is quite a foolish suggestion, but I have tried it and it doesn't work.
In addition to this, please consider that requiring users to perform such actions rather than improving your application to be on par with basic functionality provided by competitors is a strange way to approach this problem.
Please raise this with the product owner and development team as a critical issue and update the community on the status of this issue by firstly acknowledging it rather than pushing it to users, and providing meaningful updates on actions taken towards resolution. This is a development issue, not a user issue.
Bluetooth being unusable on Android devices is a serious flaw.
Someone give this man a medal! It is 6 months now till the first post here and I still come here with the same issue. It feels like we live in the 90ies not beeing able to put a call on your headphones.
Edit: Btw, enabling near devices does not fix the issue with my Jabra 75t Elite.

HOWEVER Microsoft really should add a check for this permission when user runs the application! It is super stupid to rely on ppl search and read some super long forum threads! The application itself must ask for all the permissions if needs!
