Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
I have installed an add on from Microsoft itself that seems to control the issue: EarTrumpet.
Just go to Microsoft store and install

This happens 100% of the time and it's absolutely ridiculous.

Didn't work for me. Teams didn't even show up there, I still had to navigate to App volume and device preferences to turn the Teams volume down. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Teams about 20 times. Same with drivers. Nothing fixes it.
I have the same problem and have already destroyed one laptop as it blew out the speakers. Reading this forum, it seems that there is no solution on the horizon. I will have to move my company off of MS Teams as a result.
This morning I got my ears blown out by ear buts at 100% and that is painful. Yes, 100% on ear buts is painful. Dear Microsoft: You are injuring your customers hearing. Android phones warn you at 80% that you might injure your hearing at higher level and Microsoft just sets the headsets to maximum blast.
Could companies not agree to never automatically adjust sound levels beyond 50%. That should be enough in almost every case.
Hi Martha,
I was just wondering..if Microsoft knows about the issue since forever, why its Support every time that someone asks about it, they reply like they have been away from planet Earth a few centuries? As far as I can read there is no fix, or better, willing to look into it, not from the Support itself, but most importantly from Microsoft developers. I think I can talk for many on here.
