How do I stop teams from turning my headset volume up to 100% in the "App volume and device preferences" before each call?

The title says it all. The only way to prevent my ear drums from bursting is:

  1. Join a call before anyone else
  2. open Settings
  3. search for "Sound mixer options" (which takes you to the "App volume and device preferences" screen)
  4. turn the teams volume down for my headset

This happens 100% of the time and it's absolutely ridiculous.

I have the same issue. I am using wired headphones, not bluetooth. Whenever I join a meeting or phone call the volume resets to 100%. If I turn it down and another person joins the meeting it resets to 100%. This wasn't an issue before the recent update. I am working on a Mac laptop and VDI into a Windows machine.

This is happening to me with a wired USB headset on MacOS for teams. Luckily I already have hearing loss from the military, but this is extremely annoying. I have to stop meetings daily to unplug and plug back in my headset to get it to stop.

Microsoft this is stupid. Please fix this. I should be able to go in to basic general settings and adjust the volume. I don’t want to blast my ears out when joining a call. Thanks.
