I am not able to copy and paste Teams message with Time and sender name

to make your formula work for AM/PM had to change your "3" to a "6" to account for the extra characters

I think some of your formulas and fields are redundant but assuming you kinda just slapped this together to get your desired result. i appreciate the start and ill retool to my needs when something else about teams copy pasting pisses me off

@KStart See my post on December 16, 2024 (page 4 of this thread, as that's where it is as I view this) on how to clean up the conversation (remove the summary 'yah dee da by whosaid it' and append the time stamp after who said it) - find/replace in Word and Outlook is all that's needed.

Note that my find/replace is written for how my machine is set up, and it's for English. Foreign characters are not accounted for.

The workaround quit working in the desktop app for me 2025-02-21 ~1310CT.

I did find that I could open Teams in a web browser (using Opera for this) - and, am still able to use the terrible copy trick from there in order to get the information I need. (terrible copy trick = having to use mouse to highlight & hold text while you CTRL-C on your keyboard)

Even after a desktop app restart and multiple computer restarts/updates and several days, the copy trick is no longer working in the desktop app version.

Tell me you're a Developer that doesn't use your own product without telling me you're a Developer that doesn't use your own product.

You remove, not modify options for, but COMPLETELY remove basic/common functionality for power daily users (or even standard users in some cases). You did it "to save time". Let's see...how much more time does it take to completely retype a name (e.g., Obilisetty VijayKumar, sorry 😬), GET IT CORRECT and type a date/timestamp with special characters vs. how long it takes to delete a line?

Additionally, trying to use the workaround on the initial sender is flawed and difficult because the reactions pops up directly over this info as soon as you hover over it and doesn't go away, so I'm not sure if I have all of it until I paste it and I don't. I swear this must be new because I've been using the workaround to copy it and I would have noticed this before.

As @Kevin Wudtke pointed out, NOT including the sender and timestamp vs. 313 votes to bring back the functionality is (updated) 12 vs. 314, AND MOST OF THE COMMENTS ON THE NO VOTE ARE TO BRING IT BACK. This was simply bad, ignorant design, which was probably done because it was low hanging fruit that presented the opportunity to pretend like they're listening to feedback.

Thanks for your share. Yes, the Workaround which is to hold mouse for selecting the message with Time and sender you want then use CTRL+C for copy and CTRL+V for paste is useful.
