I am not able to copy and paste Teams message with Time and sender name. I was able to do it a week ago. I want to copy text with time and sender name. same issue on both Desktop and web version

I gave up a long time ago with standard text copy and have been taking mostly screenshots since.
I agree. They already gave customers the finger and insulted our intelligence by indicating the service is healthy. What a joke. I hate microsoft.

Final Update: 05/09/2024 09:06:00 AM – The investigation is complete and Microsoft have determined that the service is healthy. A service incident didn’t actually occur as we determined the change in behavior to be by design due to a change we made to reduce the noise of metadata when copying and pasting messages in the Microsoft Teams desktop and web clients. The workaround quit working in the desktop app for me 2025-02-21 ~1310CT. I did find that I could open Teams in a web browser (using Opera for this) - and, am still able to use the terrible copy trick from there in order to get the information I need. Even after a desktop app restart and a computer restart, the copy trick is no longer working in the desktop version.
The format when holding the mouse button still after selecting text and then Ctrl C and Crtl V is awful and you have to go back and edit it so that it is in a readable format. This is not a workaround as it creates more work and wastes time.
Just bring back the way it was before and save us all time and effort.
only way around this at the minute to preserve the formatting is to use the Snip & Sketch tool and post as images - still not really acceptable
