Banner in New Teams Desktop “! Please sign in again. This could be a request from your IT department or Teams, or the result of a password update.” - Is this real??
User received this error when opening New Teams.
Password is not new

(the banner was pink background with Black text and appeared to be generated by Teams)
If this is official; the wording is bad and I would like to change it. There is no documentation on MSFT for this error or its likeness.

I never signed out fully of Chrome or Edge.

That's not an option. I need to be signed in on my browser as well.
I fixed it after a few weeks and think I know what it was.
It worked on my other computer with no browsers open.

Same problem here.
We use non-persistent Omnissa Horizon Desktops. The IDP we use is Omnissa Workspace ONE Access, and the VDI desktops are not Entra ID Hybrid Joined. We also use FSLogix for roaming profiles.
Initial tests suggest that if the VDI desktops are Entra ID Hybrid Joined, the problem is resolved.
Are everyone use Microsoft as IDP or an 3rd party?
Have the same problem. Keeps prompting and sometimes consecutively. It's a bit annoying on some crucial time when I have a meeting (this won't allow me to join meetings until I sign in).
