It seems Teams cannot end the call on my Jabra Evolve 75 headset appropriately. The Teams call is ended but the headset is left as if still in a call in mono mode.

Hi Flemming,

I'm sorry to hear that you're have issues with your Jabra whenever you end calls. First, let's make sure that the user's Teams app cache files are not corrupted. Please follow the steps below according to your operating system.

Clear Teams cache in Windows

If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.

Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.

In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and then select OK.

Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.

Restart Teams.

Clear Teams cache in macOS

If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.

In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.

Enter the following command, and then press Return:

rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

Restart Teams.

This usually fixes these types of issues but if not, you'll have to make sure that the proper drivers for your Jabra 75 are installed in your PC. You may download it from here.

Just wanted to add this still is happening, also mostly with Evolve 75, started a few days ago. We're on version 1.6.00.1381, using latest Jabra software. Restarting teams seems to terminate the call. This is not how a market leading software should work. Hoping the fix comes sooner then "end of February".

I have the same issue with my Jabra 75.

The following workarounds do their job:

    • Closing Teams and the Jabra Direct software
    • Starting a test call and hanging up

But these are workarounds. I expect this to be fixed to be honest.

    This answer worked ... once.

Now I'm back to the call not hanging up. When I unplug the Jabra Evolve 75 and plug it back in (USB and/or Power), the "call" starts again.

Any other options you can think of?
I called Jabra Support and they suggested "Making a Test Call". This does actually hang things up, but since this is the case w. All my headset options, it's probably a Teams Update that is needed more than any procedure.

I can unplug my headset usb, quit Teams, plug the headset back in and then Restart Teams ... but doing that after every call is ... time consuming.

Others in my organization are reporting this problem as well.

I'm having a different issue, but also related to Jabra Evolve 75 that just started for me this week as well. When I raise my boom mic to mute myself, it also mutes the incoming meeting audio - so I can't hear what's being said in the meeting. Nevermind that raising my boom mic never carried through to Teams to show that I'm muted - that's a whole other annoyance :/

Something changed recently - hoping Microsoft zeros in on a solution soon!!
