How do I disable ALL popups that announce new features in Teams. You know, the ones with the cheap clipart drawings and redundant announcements. It is infuriating when I am trying to send a message to a colleague and interrupted by a random popup telling me to try a new feature that I'm already aware of and is absolutely useless to me. It hijacks my typing and it's got to go.

I totally agree. Microsoft can keep their irritating disruptive ads to themselves. I know of a good place that they can put them that would require surgery. Feature announcements? No. Just irritating ads like you get bombarded with constantly no matter where you look any more.
As EVERYONE ELSE who is using this have noted, this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. I am trying to do critical work and these stupid things pop-up MULTIPLE TIMES, blocking features I am trying to use and forcing me to take time to dismiss them (unread).

I'm sorry about the pop-ups in Microsoft Teams. They are feature announcements and cannot be disabled. However, you can provide feedback to Microsoft through the Teams app and keep your Teams application up-to-date for better management of such announcements. If the pop-ups continue to be a significant disruption, reach out to your organization's IT department for help they might have policies or tools in place that could help manage these type of interruptions.

I turned them off.
Three dots next to my profile picture, locate the slider labeled "New Teams" and click it. Back on old teams, problem solved!
Seriously though, there is a "Why don't you want new Teams?" questionnaire when you do this. I selected "Other" and explained my frustrations with it to Microsoft.
Maybe if enough people can and will do this, they might get the idea that it was stupid to force the popups.
Not a general solution, the old Teams don't work at my work anymore. M$ must allow us to turn the annoying "hints" off. As any other company does.
