Teams documentation[1] has instructions for turning off notifications for a specific conversation.
I have been using this feature for years without issue.
As of several weeks ago, I no longer have this option when I open the dropdown menu for a post.
Has the feature been removed, or moved somewhere else?

I also noticed this disappear in the last few weeks. 1.6.00.27573 (64-bit) no longer has the ability to turn off notifications on desktop client (or in web browser) for individual posts in the channel. It is infuriating to lose a critical feature like this, so please Microsoft, bring it back ASAP.

I am adding my name to the list. Thanks Keith for the writeup. You summarized this specific problem perfectly. I cannot understand why this feature would be taken away. This leads to constantly getting unnecessary updates and missing out on the ones you need because you cannot edit anything but channels vs. posts.
It is important that I get notifications in general, but I DO NOT need to get dozens of audio, visual, and email alerts for people replying to a happy birthday conversation!
The ability to silence notifications on a case-by-case basis is a critical feature.
This is actually happening with all NEW Teams clients, old clients still have this option, it looks like Microsoft dropped this while upgrading intentionally or not.

HOW IS THIS STILL A THING? This is a pretty critical feature, and the solution is not turning notifications off for all replies. Some conversations are just not relevant to you as a user. This needs to get fixed asap and if they have intentionally removed it, that's not cool at all.
