New Teams: Camera Settings Gone

Hello

Under Teams Classic - there used to be a number of camera settings under Settings > Devices > Camera such as Zoom/Pan/Tilt. Those settings no longer appear, to my knowledge, in New Teams. Am I missing something or did this feature not carry over?

Also, the webcam I am using, a Poly P5, has local software installed but those zoom/pan/tilt settings have never carried over to Teams (Classic or New).

Any advice? Did this feature disappear forever or am I missing where it is?

That would be an excellent solution. Unfortunately, this is a corporate device and while I can plug in a better webcam, I'm not able to install third party software and it's not worth IT installing and maintaining odds and ends of software for own peripherals. So we rely on what Windows and Teams provides.

I am curious whether the product team has ever taken into account the extent of harm that may result from the removal of this functionality. Our Lawyers were extensively using this camera settings in their meetings, however it suddenly disappeared as we switched to a new teams. We are addressing a group of dissatisfied end-users by rolling them back to the Classic Teams platform. In summary, please restore the functionality. Once you have developed a better alternative, you may discard this setting. However, until that point, please include camera settings into the New Teams.

This is really an essential feature to have and I have gone back to classic because of it. I use the tilt and zoom every day (which by the way, won't stay set and have to do this routine every day (pan to the right, then hit apply, which settings disappear every day forcing us to re-do it daily). The image does not look the same, and the setting within the logitech app don't have any affect on what Teams is picking up and displaying from the camera.

Need to have this feature back (open camera settings).

Install FFMPEG and follow these instructions: https://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/access-advanced-settings-for-the-integrated-webcam-on-windows-10/

basically, from the bin folder in ffmpeg, just run the following command from cmd:

    ffmpeg -f dshow -show_video_device_dialog true -i video="NAME-OF-WEBCAM"

Set up a bat file so that you can run the command from a shortcut, and then it is always just a double click away!

Thank you for the tip. My webcam broke down, got a replacement with a larger view angle and it showed more than I wanted.

I switched to the old teams app, adjusted the camera zoom (preview was good) and switched back to the new teams. The settings remained and zoom is applied in the new teams.

I normally do not have to change the camerasettings, so I use the new app due to the multiple accounts option. I do hope MS adds the camera options in the new teams though.
