I'm getting extremely jittery video despite a good connection. It looks like every few frames, a single frame from a second ago is displayed, causing both my video and other participants videos to just jitter in a really distracting way. It can't be my connection because I have a good ping & good connection, and its happening to my video as well.

So we got a note back from Microsoft... I'll paraphrase:

"The product team has developed an update which is expected to be part of an update to the Teams client expect in early March which should address the issue which was related to a change to enable dynamic composition where we skip the composing of a frame if there are no changes. For Mac we need to lock the CVPixelBuffer that represents the composited frame. There was an issue where we were potentially missing the unlocking of a locked pixel buffer before we presented it to display. This resulted in the visual artifacts."

It isn't that. No other videos have issues, including the teams Webapp on Chrome. Just the teams application.

Microsoft please fix. I work at Adobe, one of your largest enterprise customers.

Version 1.5.00.33356 well and fully breaks audio and video quality for Intel Macs using MacOS Ventura. The pending preview release is also broken.

This issue is major, please remedy asap.

These directions do not work. I have tried it and it did not fix anything. I am convinced the problem is with the latest version of Teams on Mac OS X. According to other folks, the solution is to grab an older copy. Since I use Teams for work, I'd like to download the older copy directly from Microsoft or an internal channel. No one has shared that yet. I am hoping someone will listen and realize that there really is a problem with the latest version of Teams on Mac OS X.

    Hi Bebop17,

Sorry to hear about this issue. You may try clearing the Teams cache using the following instructions for your device and see if there's any difference.

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.
    2. In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.
    3. Enter the following command, and then press Return:

    rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

    1. Restart Teams.

Alternatively, you may sign into the web app, https://teams.microsoft.com/ using Chrome or Edge browser to see if the issue persists.

And may I ask, are you using an external camera?

    Best regards,
