Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

New Teams will not allow me to set open files default to "app" and I have to click around multiple times now to open in "app." It used to be so simple with old Teams. I looked up how to uninstall New Teams and go back to Old Teams but found a message that said we are forced to go to New Team in July. I really hope MS is listening to their clients and making changes before this is goes into effect.

My mistake, I pay $69.99 a year for Office 365 Personal. So many complaints about Teams, it must be a big issue. I will switch to Zoom for all my conference calls, when I can.

    Issues I'm facing:

    • no notifications (app bouncing or noise) even when the feature is on in settings
    • loss of important chat history

I reverted back because I couldn't deal with the issues as I need to be swift with my replies to my manager for short deadlines. However it's now auto installing the new one, giving me a unclosable pop-up telling me to choose between using the new app now or them auto opening it when the current classic one is idle (about 3 mins after the pop up). The new one is opening up blank, not even able to open. I'm on mac - I've restarted, cleared cache, nothing works. I am at a point where I am either forced to only email or use my phone for work comms.

Don't release an app when it's THIS BUGGY, test the damn thing. At the very least keep it beta and allow everyone to use the classic one until it's more functional.

Now that you're forcing everyong to use the new teams, you need to take a serious look at things. your design team needs to seriously take a look at the interface of the new client. It is in most cases (other than phone) a worse experience. For things with multiple channels, the new client sucks because you can't see individual updates per channel at a glance. You have to click the bolded tile and then look at the channels. Microsoft's tile system failed with their failure of a phone, so it's time to call it quits on this tile stuff.
