Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

    Hi,

the new Teams are really horrible. I hate to say it, but they don't work half the time and the interface is really stupid. It's slower, less reliable and overall just worse. I sometimes wonder why change things if they work well...

The new teams is nothing but a pain. When I make calls, it routinely opens two windows and calls the number I want to call twice. I then close one window and it often closes both so I have to start again. When I am calling from my contacts/recents list it will often add +44 again (so it's +4444) so that calls won't go through. So now I have to go through my contacts list reentering all my contacts to work around this **** app. It is practically impossible to create a shortcut on your desktop - the new teams just won't do it. I can create shortcuts for the old teams and every other app on my laptop but the new teams just will not create the shortcut alot of the time. I have now taken to remoting inot other PC's and copying my desktop icon (cut & paste) onto other peoples laptops as the easiest option.

This new app is absolutely, shockingly dire and microsoft should be ashamed of putting something as buggy and **** as this on the market. I have talked to NO-ONE who thinks that this is an improvement on the old app and our support calls have gone through the roof since this was launched. All to fix a problem that wasn't there to start with.

Unfortunately I presume we're stuck with it 'cos some moron at Microsoft reckons his brain-dead decision is a good one. Who0ever signed this off should be sacked.

It's a disaster. Randomly disconnects mics and speakers. Drops calls. Total ****. Have to take the audio portion of calls on my phone because I can't count on the 'new' teams staying connected.

I really wish Microsoft would stop gaslighting us about how great the NEW! Teams app is, and how it is so much better than the old version.

I have been using the new app heavily for the last few weeks, and it is so bug-ridden and feature-poor that I cannot use it. For example, the foundation of Microsoft Teams for Education as a LMS for teaching is the embedded OneNote Class Notebook. But the tab to access the class notebook has disappeared in the new version of Teams! Nobody in our IT department can figure out why, so they consider it a bug, but Microsoft doesn't consider it a bug! (Yeah, I know, it must be a feature, not a bug...).

There are so many other annoying and time-wasting bugs, I won't even try to list them. I would happily just use the old app (which I am trying to do), but each day when I open it, it tries to force me back to the new app, and there is no way to disable the message. Arggghh! Microsoft, you really, really dropped the ball, again.

    Its extremely poor.

I have an office of people that have had problems, from dropping calls webcams not working intermittent crashing to both instances of teams running at once to cause complications. this is before the poorer UI, the constant harassment to switch when you use teams 'classic' and the the resource drain.

If Microsoft wants to replace teams replace it don't let TWO instances run and give us the illusion of choice. (hilariously as i type this new teams has forced itself open with no prompt from myself)

I can only assume that new teams collects more data for Microsoft because there has been no benefit from using the new version of teams for users.
