Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

I just switched to New Teams a few days ago. And I just had my first meeting where I tried to share my screen. It was a Visual Studio window. It almost immediately stopped updating for other attendees. I tried to stop sharing, but only the share dialog showed up when I pressed that button, as if I wasn't already sharing (even though it was apparently still sharing.) I tried leaving the meeting, but for 10 minutes now, the meeting Window has been stuck open, saying "Leaving..." I can close that Window, but when I try to Join again, I get the same "Leaving..." window. Seems I'll need to restart Teams (and then switch back to Classic).

A pop-up appeared at some point, "We've detected a problem. Try again in a few minutes. " -- or similar.

In short: My first experience with screen sharing in New Teams was a disaster.

My observations: New Teams is a lot faster and uses fewer resources. But that's apparently because it doesn't work!

I won't be included to try New Teams again anytime soon.

I agree with the people in this thread that the new UI is utterly horrendous. You used to be able to list any contacts you wanted in the left pane which made it easy to find and see people's statuses or interact with them without having to click a million things. Now you have to click on a group to show your contact lists and there isn't even a status associated with the contact when you do. You have to click on the user to bring up their overview tab by default and, for me, it always shows them as being offline until I click one of the other tabs, i.e. 'Contact' or 'Organization'.

    So far, so brutal.

    Agree.

During calls the lines dividing up the video panels are not in line with the video of the people. And my video playback to myself isn't showing, And there is no contact list available on the left anymore. Only recent chats as an option. Beside here is there another place we can provide feedback?

My only problem with the new teams is making calls. I have a phone number associated to my teams and use it heavily and any time I've tried the new teams I have issues with calls so I have to switch back. I hate that it seems to keep be rammed down my throat asking me to switch and sometimes I get switched without agreeing and I have to switch it back.
