Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

Does anyone know if MS will postpone the disabling of Classic Teams after March 31st, 2024?

Add to the pile of complaints - its overtly worse in multiple ways. Today, I cannot get scroll bars to appear in the chat interface, so I cannot view older messages in the active chat, nor scroll across different chats to find older ones.

Basic point - fire the manager that decided to release this product to the public.

I have confirmed that the "new" (worse) Teams has a message post upload internal timeout of only 30 seconds when posting images to a message. If you post a 6mb or larger GIF in the "new" (worse) Teams, then it will most likely just say "Failed to send." I guarantee you microsoft does not even yet know this because they are NOT performing worst-case analysis on their products. The previous classic Teams was fault tolerant. The "new" (worse) Teams does not tolerate a temporarily slow internet connection or a temporarily slow computer (whenever overall CPU activity is high).

100% agree, trying to share the screen with my class the NEW version decided to put a bar across the middle of the screen that I could not move or remove... helpful.

Not to mention sharing web browsers is a pain if you need to click on tabs (they are covered by the same bar!)

    Hopefully they keep classic alive.

I agree new Teams is not great.
Pro - when downloading files you can now choose WHERE to download files. IDK why that is not a basic requirement for any download/save operation.
Cons - Spell check does not work consistently. Have to uninstall and reinstall after every sleep. Video is inconsistent functionality. Audio sounds like being filtered through water. GUI is blurry, but only sometimes???? How???

My understanding (I have not gone in depth, just from articles) is that New Teams, New Outlook (also beyond trash, like rotting stinking meat trash) are transitioning to the same code used for the web apps. This to cut down on codebase needing support. Ok, I get that. Does not forgive that you are shoving this pile of trash down our throats before it is ready.
