Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

The new version of Teams is a bit of a mess. I can see what they wanted to do, but it's half-baked throughout. New Teams is a total downgrade that's less reliable, uses more system resources, and is flat out missing some features that Classic Teams had, like the contact view.

It's a great example of how *not* to roll out an updated version of your software - rush it out the door before it's ready, shut off the old version that's objectively better in most ways, and struggle through a year(s) of criticism while you slowly add things back and make bug fixes over time, which should've been made while the program was still in development. Thanks, Microsoft.

Imagine buying out Skype to use the backend of it for "the new best way to chat online!" only to make something that could've been developed by two college students in a weekend for a class project. Couldn't be me, but it sure is MS in 2024.

    The new teams SUCKS.

The contact list is gone, which I'm using all the time to see who is online and who is not !

Seven pages of complaints about the "new" and improved Teams. Tells you something about the Teams upgrade. Me, I'm relatively new to Teams and found the original much more intuitive than the new version. Glad I could go back to it. Unfortunately, that one will eventually go away and we'll all have to adopt Microsoft's version of how we should be doing things. Not that they ever asked me what I needed.

I agree new Teams is not great.
Pro - when downloading files you can now choose WHERE to download files. IDK why that is not a basic requirement for any download/save operation.
Cons - Spell check does not work consistently. Have to uninstall and reinstall after every sleep. Video is inconsistent functionality. Audio sounds like being filtered through water. GUI is blurry, but only sometimes???? How???

My understanding (I have not gone in depth, just from articles) is that New Teams, New Outlook (also beyond trash, like rotting stinking meat trash) are transitioning to the same code used for the web apps. This to cut down on codebase needing support. Ok, I get that. Does not forgive that you are shoving this pile of trash down our throats before it is ready.
