Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

Yes, but why is the control buried there? There's enough real estate on our screens to fit 4 or 5 small icon buttons to change this. The overarching theme behind most of the comments in this forum is the frustration MS customers are experiencing with some of these ill-conceived changes. It's driving us crazy and Microsoft doesn't seem to care. I've had to turn Automatic Updates off because EVERY update clobbers Teams. I have to reinstall my Teams each time. I lose access to my own meetings because I'm no longer the convener. I have to reschedule my meetings again.

Microsoft: If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it!!!!!

New Teams doesn’t work for me. The design is useless. I have to go back to the old teams which is user friendly.

We have a barage of issues, users dont see meetings in their teams calendars, even though everyone else sees them in it. I have at least 3 users today that couldnt see the meeting chat where well over 50 people are added and chatting for over 2 days, it shows the users in the meeting but they just dont see it or get chat messages.

New teams is also extremely slow for some, clearing cache in appdata seems to help but only temporarily.

I can't believe they now removed the toggle to go back to Classic Teams. I am completely hosed now. Can not download files in the New Teams - only worked in classic. I can't work. This is ridiculous. I hope our company changes Apps soon!

The new version of Teams is a bit of a mess. I can see what they wanted to do, but it's half-baked throughout. New Teams is a total downgrade that's less reliable, uses more system resources, and is flat out missing some features that Classic Teams had, like the contact view.

It's a great example of how *not* to roll out an updated version of your software - rush it out the door before it's ready, shut off the old version that's objectively better in most ways, and struggle through a year(s) of criticism while you slowly add things back and make bug fixes over time, which should've been made while the program was still in development. Thanks, Microsoft.

Imagine buying out Skype to use the backend of it for "the new best way to chat online!" only to make something that could've been developed by two college students in a weekend for a class project. Couldn't be me, but it sure is MS in 2024.
