Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

I agree new Teams is not great.
Pro - when downloading files you can now choose WHERE to download files. IDK why that is not a basic requirement for any download/save operation.
Cons - Spell check does not work consistently. Have to uninstall and reinstall after every sleep. Video is inconsistent functionality. Audio sounds like being filtered through water. GUI is blurry, but only sometimes???? How???

My understanding (I have not gone in depth, just from articles) is that New Teams, New Outlook (also beyond trash, like rotting stinking meat trash) are transitioning to the same code used for the web apps. This to cut down on codebase needing support. Ok, I get that. Does not forgive that you are shoving this pile of trash down our throats before it is ready.

    The new Teams is terrible.

I am having a large amount of issues with the "new" Teams.

Shown below are a few issues that I noticed within my first week of using the newly updated version of Teams.

    1. When I am typing a new message, it does not tell me whether I typed a word incorrectly. There is no red line to notify me.
    2. I tried to schedule a meeting yesterday. Noone in the meeting was able to join. We had to resort to a call instead.
    3. In a meeting, I tried to share my screen. I was only able to share my screen after numerous tries.
    4. If I past an image within the Teams message, it makes it extremely difficult to continue typing.
    5. Sometimes, when I am typing, the Teams message suddenly stops typing and I have to continually click on the text box to start typing again.

These are all of the issues that I noticed after my first week or two of using the "New" Teams.

Please stop changing Teams so much.

I appreciate your post, and I will switch back to the original Teams.

The "new" (eg. worse) MS Teams purple chat notifications appear in the lower right area for AT MOST JUST 5 SECONDS now because the app does not use or respect Windows native notifications settings (the ability to keep a notification box for up to 5 minutes if so desired), AND there are NO OPTIONS anywhere to keep a Teams chat notification on the screen for a long period of time now. So don't take that sip of coffee or tea, because you will MISS important chat messages from your team. And good luck noticing that blinking "orange" taskbar icon because with Win-Doze it's basically just always orange anyway for some reason or another, and everyone just learns to IGNORE IT. AND, with previous Teams you could just click on the purple chat notification box and it would take you directly to the chat message. Now you get to hunt around! Every time! Astounding there is no outrage. AND, good luck trying to "send feedback" about Teams because the "Feedback Portal" for MS Teams already has 18,000+ complaints (twice as many as the next highest per product), so as soon as you post a valid complaint, it will be buried and will never bee seen or upvoted (due to thousands of people filing complaints every day). But if you can please up-vote my complaint about notifications being too brief:

I agree the new teams has more issues than solutions. Seriously disappointed in MS.

    Hello

The new Teams is giving me so many issues. Its slow, keeps exiting me out of the app, and the worst thing is that there is no longer a plug in on my Outlook to allow me to make meetings Teams meetings.

PLEASE can you add the plug in button back into Outlook to allow me to make my calendar invites teams meetings?

    Thanks

    Morgan
