Why is the "NEW" Teams so horrible??

Within the last month or so we go the pop up to try the "new" Teams... The new APP is having so many issues!! We use it for conference calls, and myself and others are having issues where the notifications are not showing, or when invited to a meeting it won't let you "join". I keep having audio (microphone & speaker) issues which I NEVER had previously. I really DO NOT like it. I've switched back to the older version for now. I simply refuse to keep dealing with all these NEW issues with the NEW version! :( It's simply horrible!

    As a developer who uses a Mac as their primary device, but who also remotes onto a Windows device it's frustrating that it appears that the new Teams is incapable of making any form of visual or audio notification of a new chat when I'm in the remote session (unlike the previous version), so I now have colleagues WhatsApp'ing me to get my attention... genius! I can only assume the new app was built using MAUI....

    The interesting thing is that when you switch back to the old Teams, like you suggest, it will tell you it is changing you back - whether you want to or not.

    The new Teams hangs up and freezes, all of the time. What is being done to increase the stability and functionality?

    I have also had many issues with New Teams. Photos never show up when others send them to me and they rarely send when I try to send to others. Sometimes messages fail to send or just completely disappear. I'll wait, refresh, reboot, and nothing. But then I go to send the message again and when I look at the conversation on my phone app for Teams, both messages sent... Photos also load on my phone app but not in desktop New Teams. It's overall so glitchy.

    THE NEW MICROSOFT TEAM USES 968 MB, also pls fix window 11 using 6.8 gb of ram while doing absolutely nothing.

    Agreed. The New Teams has been ineffective, slower, more tedious than ever before. I kept reverting to the OLD version so I at least new the expectations and could navigate swiftly but NOW - the NEW TEAMS is forcing me to switch back to the NEW (WORSENED) version. PROBLEMS:

    • Groups chats you DELETED in the OLD version, REAPPEAR in the NEW, forcing you to have to painstakingly go back to each one, repeat alllllll those steps to RE-remove participants, RE-leave chats, RE-label to archive and RE-DELETE all the chats you already got rid of in the old version. What an incredible waste of time and energy.
    • There is NO DELETING chats with only 2 participants and you can't HIDE chats with only 2 participants. Why? Who knows. You're stuck with it in your chat list. Every try results in "WE COULDN'T DELETE YOUR CHAT. TRY AGAIN LATER."
