Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

I have the same issue on a Dell Windows 10 notebook. It happens from time to time. I need to restart Microsoft Teams to make this Problem go away. Very annoying.

This just started for me today, for no apparent reason. I was just typing in a chat, and couldn't move left or right. I found your fix, and for me it only works on those three dots at the bottom of the chat edit area; not with any of the other three dots (like in the left pane, the three dots under the Chat bubble for "More added apps.") Wonder what they're doing to actually fix the issue/bug. Thanks for your suggestion!

Yes - this works for me too. You have to Quit as described here, rather than just shutting down the app.

    Thanks.
