Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop 

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external 

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

    Correct - mine started working when the update was pushed and lasted a few days with no restart.

    Unfortunately it *just* stopped.... really thought it was fixed - disappointed again.

    Hoping MS will fix this for real.

    Was having same issue. Seems it may be fixed in Teams Version 1.5.00.11163 - my Win10 client updated on 5/12/22 and arrow keys seem to be working.

    Could not find anything about the update in release notes, so hard to confirm.

    Over a year and the best resolution that works most of the time is "quit teams completely and relaunch"..... not sure why this hasn't been fixed yet, all I can assume is that it's not a 'selling point' and not enough 'c' level employees have complained yet.

    Maybe if it effected the cash flow....
