Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

This same issue happens for me as well. So far, restarting my computer or the app doesn't fix it. I haven't found a way yet to fix it, though I haven't tried deleting cache or temp files. I use a wireless keyboard, which some people report might be part of the issue. I shouldn't have to change my keyboard.

Something that I have noticed is that the up arrow is still recognized. It's a shortcut for editing my last message. I thought that might be pertinent.

Teams, this is a pain in the butt. Please fix. Workarounds are fine in the short term, but this shouldn't be happening and it's a very annoying problem.

The clever "click in textbox/Tab/right/left/shift-tab" trick someone helpfully posted below works for me sometimes, but not others. Only quitting and restarting Teams completely always works here. I have to do this many times a day. It is very irritating....
