Left & right arrow keys don't move the cursor (in teams)

ft and right arrow keys have no effect in TEAMS BUT left-arrow + CTRL moves left one word, and right-arrow + CTRL moves right one word. So it is clear the arrow keys on the keyboard are functioning and sending signals to the computer. I also tried my laptop built in keyboard & the number pad. All have the same effect. What could be making the arrows by themselves not work?  (Up and Down arrows work normally.)

1.      Is it a laptop or desktop computer?
Laptop

2.      What is the make and model of the keyboard?
HP laptop keyboard & logitech external

3.      Was it working fine earlier?
Yes at most an hour before

4.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
No. Maybe I inadvertently hit some hot key?

    I also have this issue.

I am not sure how to report BUG to Microsoft. Are people from MS looking at this forum?

This is definitely a bug. Restarting the client is a poor workaround.

How can this still be an everyday issue for so many when it's almost a year old. FFS Microsoft, just fix it already.

I tried this and it didn't work the first time, but the second time after I closed it I used shift-tab to move back to the input box and my left/right arrows worked again. I'm going to try straight manipulating through the tab order next time it stops working on me but it does seem to be focus related. Maybe there's something else that has partial focus that's catching the left and right arrows before they get passed down to the text box?
