Hi all,

I recently installer MacOS Big Sur in my Macbook Pro from scratch (not upgrading from previous installation). Once the system was working, I installed the Office 365 suite from App Store and MS Teams from microsoft.com (Teams does not exists in the App Store). All software is working properly EXCEPT Teams. After installation and launch, I keeps freezed in the "Loading Microsoft Teams" view.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the package several times, restarted the machine, etc, but it still does not work.

Are there any procedures or fixed I should perform? Does Teams actually works on Big Sur?

Thanks.

Seem to have same/similar problem. Except in my case the Teams first went into an endless startup loop. It closed immediately after opening and tried to restart endlessly. Removing the suggested folders in Library made things worse. Now Teams causes following crash EVERY time I try to open it

This problem exists on a MacBook Air M1 (MacOS 11.4), while a year older MacBook (also MacOS 11.4) with Intel processor in unaffected. Not sure if the processor key, however, since we have another computer with M1 that doesn't appear to have the same issue.

Did anyone come across this same issue? OSX Big Sur: I have tried deleting cache, the JSON method, no MS teams folders found. Gave full disk permits, accessibility permits, logged in on the web, it didn't even ask to use the desktop app when entering a meeting. I'm giving up...

Same issues - and none of the solutions worked. All Big Sur related. I had to ultimately do a roll back to Catalina.

Another Mac Update that screwed up connectivity. Took hours to troubleshoot, then hours more to reinstall.

This should have been long tested and addressed prior to role out.

My issues were back in January - seems like the issues are still not resolved.

I have Big Sur and M1 chip, Teams wouldn't install just kept loading. I tried all suggestions (I had no Teams folder in library) with no success.

I got it working by logging in the Teams web plateform and inviting myself to a meeting. The app worked after that.

    Good luck!

I can also confirm that this worked for me 🙂
