Teams not working on MacOS Big Sur

Hi all,

I recently installer MacOS Big Sur in my Macbook Pro from scratch (not upgrading from previous installation). Once the system was working, I installed the Office 365 suite from App Store and MS Teams from microsoft.com (Teams does not exists in the App Store). All software is working properly EXCEPT Teams. After installation and launch, I keeps freezed in the "Loading Microsoft Teams" view.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the package several times, restarted the machine, etc, but it still does not work.

Are there any procedures or fixed I should perform? Does Teams actually works on Big Sur?

Thanks.

Ah, something new to try. I'll do it -- maybe it will help me too, although I'm able to get into teams but I can't share documents. Perhaps they have also addressed this.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I have a different issue with Big Sur and Microsoft Teams -- and it's tricky because I am signing onto a client's Teams platform. What I have encountered is that I cannot share my screen. When I click on "Share," instead of a band at the bottom with some sharing options, I get just a black strip with nothing in it. This is a giant nuisance for me since I have to do virtual workshops for the client via this platform. I had to go back to my old Macbook Pro, which really needs to get repaired (keyboard has separated from the rest of the bottom of the laptop!).

I would think this might be a problem with permissions to access what's on my computer?

I don't think Teams ever worked well with Mac, even before Big Sur...

    Thanks for any tips,

    Mary

Well I am still on Catalina, having come from Windows 7 Pro, (so my first experience of an Apple Mac mini).

    I could not login.

So the problem lies in compatibility. I think the answer is more with Microsoft Teams and it's history.
