Bluetooth device keeps getting disconnected during Teams meetings

Hi,

I use the wireless JBL Endurance Sprint Headphones to connect to meetings on my Teams app on my work laptop.

This was working fine until a few days ago. But, from the past few days my headphones gets disconnected every few seconds.

This is terribly agonizing - I can't hear the audio and get tuned out from  the conversation. I need to turn on my headphones again every time it gets disconnected. I end up losing parts of the conversation and it gets extremely awkward frequently requesting the other person to repeat what they said.

I initially thought it might be my headphones, but it works really well with the same laptop on other applications. Works fine on other devices too.

I tried updating driver software for my Bluetooth device. Looks like it's up-to-date.

I have no idea how to fix this.

Similar questions had answers to uncheck the "Disable bluetooth device for power savings" under Power Management Tab ( Device Manager -> Bluetooth-> Adapter-> Properties). I don't see this tab anymore

Please help fix this ASAP.

Hi, I have got the same problem with teams and JBL TUNE 220 TWS. I use teams on two different laptops and the same problem occurs. Teams disconnects earphones each time I have meetings. It is very annoying and difficult to have operative meetings

I updated my Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver via Intel Driver Support Assistant to 22.30.0.4 (22.01.2021)

It seems that Microsoft Windows Update Service was unable to find the current version of the driver and left me with a completely outdated version from 2020 (!). Good job, Microsoft.

The release notes of Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver 22.30.0.4 (22.01.2021) look very promising. It seems Intel addressed the Microsoft Teams issue and released a fix: Discontinuity of audio during a Teams call can occur on some devices.

See https://downloadmirror.intel.com/30251/eng/ReleaseNotes_BT_22.30.0.pdf and https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30251/Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-10 for details.

I have the same issue. My headphones are connected under devices, but for some reason they go into sleep mode and disconnect from the laptop. It is as if the headphones do not understand that there is in fact a signal coming from the Teams desktop app.
