Hiding Teams Control Task Bar (at Bottom of Teams Screen) During a Meeting (So Screenshot of Shared Screen is Clean)

Anyone know if there's a way to hide the default Teams meeting control task bar at the bottom of the screen so I can take screenshots of what is being shared/displayed on the without that in the way? Thanks.

Also, Teams isn't a "Category" option when I'm posting this. Nor is it listed in the "Office Topic" while "Skype" still is. Might want to update that since Teams has been released. As such, I'm having to post in "Unknown/Other".

Based on your description, you want to hiding the Teams control task bar (like below picture). I just tested this on my side, the task bar will auto hiding after you move your mouse outside of the sharing screen for a while. Could you please test this on your side to see if this works for you?

    There is a trick to making this work..

    When you need to take a screenshot, click to an application other than Teams (either another screen, or outside the teams window).

    Now, when you press the Windows key to take the screenshot the Teams bar doesn't trigger and you can take your screenshot.

    I agree, this is frustrating and silly application behavior.

    Please define a "while" this bar needs to have ability to hide manually, while watching training is constantly covering on screen material and you cannot not click while in class.

    You should be able to undock and move to your screen where you want.

    Is there any way that we can keep this tool bar in hide as long as we need . This is annoying while presenting the screen and hiding some important behind the bar.

    Not good with auto hiding.. Need manual hiding ASAP

    Even better would be the ability to "pop-out"/undock the tool bar, like skype does/used to!

    Hi Vijay, there is a new SW version released,

    • click on your Profile,
    • select Check for Updates
    • it should install a new update quite quickly (as a background process)
    • Click on Settings
    • Select - Turn on new meeting experience (New meetings and calls will open in separate windows. Requires restarting Teams.)

    Restart MS Teams, you may have to Kill The Task in Task Manager

    Restart and you should get the new views.
