Keynote presentation in Teams

When presenting a keynote through sharing the screen in a meeting, the participants do not see the full window when pressing "Start presentation". I have done this many times before, recently a couple of weeks ago. Presenting a full screen view for the other in the meeting. Now they see just a "freezed" image of the cursor in a desktop mode of the presentation.

Have there been a update so keynote and team are not communicating - or maybe a overload of users in the last weeks?

Would really like to get help to solving this issue!

Dear Microsoft people, it is not a good answer to tell people to use the online version because you are not able to solve the app problem!

This doesn't make any sense at all !

You shouldn't be telling clients that you don't know what to do with the app so they should find an alternative way to use your own products.

Please ladies and gentlemen, try to be a little bit more professional. This looks like a car manufacture saying that they don't know what is the problem with their cars and ask you to go by foot instead!

Do you have a mac? Try this with teams to be able to present:
1. Click the Apple menu.
2. Then, go to System Preferences > Click Security & Privacy > Privacy tab.
3. Click Screen Recording.
4. Click the lock icon to make changes.
5. If required, enter your admin password.
6. Finally, click the checkbox next to Microsoft Teams.
7. A notification window will ask you to restart it. Agree.
8. Then, try again and see if the issue persists.

Hello Ankita -

I have been having this same problem for months (unable to see keynote presentation in presentation mode when using Teams client), so thank you for the suggestion to use the web client.

However, I would like to note that audio and video performance through the Teams web client is sub-standard as compared with the desktop client. I would request that you please address the bug so that we can get the most out of Teams + Keynote.

This is exactly the issue. Teams shares the desktop (on full screen sharing) but doesnt share the 2nd desktop created when Keynote presentation happens. I have worked around this issue having a 2nd monitor. If i share the 2nd monitor it works perfectly when im presenting, but when I do present from just my macbook pro, once i click Start presentation the full screen presentation creates a new desktop enviroment and it doesnt get shared. It has fully to do with the dynamics of keynote presentation, yet since most mac users love Keynote like me, Microsoft Teams should find a quick fix for the issue. Shouldn't be that complicated.

Hope this helps finding a solution soon as my whole company works on Teams enviroment on macbooks so we are getting hit bad by this bug to the point some are suggesting moving away from teams.

Hi,

I believe this issue is related to choosing the keynote 'Window' and when going full screen in your application window Teams detects that as a new 'Window' and stops sharing.

Try using the 'Desktop' share option. This way when you go to press 'Play' on your Keynote file it will keep sharing to Teams.

That's typical of anything Microsoft. Its like its designed by engineers that don't give a s#$% about normal humans and why Apple won the war.
