Hi,

One of our users keep getting an error message when opening teams, this is only happening to a single users, on their machine, unfortunately I am not able to check if it would work on other machine or if other users can work on their machine due to working from home. Basically it opens, asks them to login, when they login it doesn't ask for password it just goes straight to the error, and we can't get further, they are able to login to teams.microsoft.com, but the app wont work, I have tried the following steps:

Reinstalled the app

Rebooted the machine

Uninstalled the app, cleared the cache and then reinstalled the app

Closed the app and cleared the cache and then reopened the app

Removed the teams license from o365 admin portal, then re-added the teams license

is there anything else I can do to try to resolve this issue?

Kind Regards,

Brendan

    Hey.

I had this issue with my son's teams account at Boroughmuir high school in Edinburgh in Jan 2021.

    Very odd.

We have 1x home laptop - W7 - and he could run the Teams Desktop app ok on it.

But on another home laptop on W7 - he couldn't.

On both the web app version works fine, but the desktop app only runs on 1 machine.

It's the same email account being accessed.

The same os on both machines - although they have different versions of W7.

And different application software installed etc.

I read through *all* of these posts on the issue, and tried all of the likely resolutions, but no joy.

But one of the posts mentioning security caught my eye.

Saying to look in "internet options->Advanced->Security[options]"

That solution was to avoid checking for invalid certificates etc.. - which I tried also with no joy.

But then I noticed not all of the different (and older) TLS versions were enabled on the problematic laptop.

So since the school is probably using ancient infrastructure, I just enabled all of the older TLS handshake versions and bingo, connection through to the school login page.

    That was all it was.

Once I had enabled my side to drop down to as low as TLS 1.2, it worked.

Looking back through the posts, there are obviously multiple reasons for caa70007 - and these have different resolutions.

But most of the credible variations seem to point at an untrusted level of security handshake to the Teams service provider.

So maybe worth a look at your internet security options and see what you can try dialing down as a test.

    Hope this helps.

    Craig.

    Hi Brendan,

I am Rodel, an independent advisor, and I would like to help you to resolve your issue.

Could you get and post a screenshot of the error message? That would assist greatly in helping with a solution.

    Hello everyone,

for me the solution was Internet Option ----> advanced----> activate TLS1.2 . my computer runs on W7.

as I read this error can come from many reasons.

Good luck and thanks the community to this sharing !

    Hi Nils,

Thank you for the response, when i try to sign into edge i get the following.

     "Error code: 3, 15, -895025145"

    Regards

    Sateesh

Same here. Teams doesn't work, and Edge shows this error code.

I was able to correct this by changing my proxy settings.

In Windows, go to Proxy Settings and change Automatically Detect Settings to OFF if you are not using a proxy.

If you are using a proxy, ensure that the proxy settings are correct.

Everything immediately began working correctly once I did this.

    Hope my experience helps you.

    John Blancuzzi

    Thanks, but it didn't help.

Solved by running in compatibility mode. See this thread.

Hey, we managed to resolve this issue, we rebuilt the user profile and we believe that fixed it, but honestly we aren't 100% sure.
