External Presenters in Teams Live Events

Can external presenters be tied to a Gmail account and present?  Are there limitations because we tested with two external presenters after adding them into the Tenant as guests and they couldn't join and if they did join they couldn't present.

Where is a list of steps for setting up an external presenter?  Are their videos to show a presenter how to share their screen?  Why is it that you can only queue up the first item and presenter and send live and you can't queue up the next...there is no point to the queue if it can't be used to get stuff ready to show.

Why can't we include audio in a presenters' material?

I think that's the thing, as long as all parties (internal and external) have Teams, then it doesn't matter.  It works as expected.  We did an event and had external parties come in and when they already have Teams then perfect.  Those who did not have teams in their environment were not able to join and were thrown into the event as a guest and watched the event.  Even though we specified their address as presenter.  The only work around was we had to have them dial in to the event with the presenter dial in and that worked.  Not ideal but was a good work around.

I was concerned with this but our external presenters worked great.

NOW, they did both have the Teams app and had used Teams before.

But I just added them to the live event setup as a presenter using their email addresses and when the time came, there they were.

We did test beforehand to make sure they were able to join and when we had no problems, we went ahead. You should test with a mock event/runthrough first but the functionality seems to work just fine.

We have just had the same thing - one of the external presenters could present and was taken to Live Event the other was dropped into the actual live event (as a viewer)....

Is there a way to check / test in advance to ensure a guest or federated can actually join?

I tried that, too, didn't work. When I set up the Teams Live event, added an external person's email address as a presenter, then copied the Join link from the meeting as you show above and sent them that, when they tried to join as an external presenter, the Teams app said "No permission. You need permission to join. Contact the organizer to get the access to the live event."

What more permission does the person need than me adding them as a presenter and sending them that link? This is confusing, sorry.
