External Presenters in Teams Live Events

Can external presenters be tied to a Gmail account and present?  Are there limitations because we tested with two external presenters after adding them into the Tenant as guests and they couldn't join and if they did join they couldn't present.

Where is a list of steps for setting up an external presenter?  Are their videos to show a presenter how to share their screen?  Why is it that you can only queue up the first item and presenter and send live and you can't queue up the next...there is no point to the queue if it can't be used to get stuff ready to show.

Why can't we include audio in a presenters' material?

    Hi Sylvie

I still experience exactly the same that sharepointisneedlesslycomplex replied already to your message.

I work for a very big company and we are looking for a easy to handle webinar tool.

MS Teams Live Events seems to be great, but as we often have external presenters this point has to be fixed quickly.

It doesn't work at the moment, i really tried everything also with all the inputs from this Q&A chat, so at what point are we regarding this problem? That can't be that difficult...

This does not appear to work. Steps to reproduce:

    1. create a live event, and as part of the creation process, add an external email address as a presenter roll. It lets you add it from this interface, and only from this interface it seems.
    2. make the live event available to ALL (Public security)
    3. on the personal email account who will be the presenter. Create a microsoft account and log into it.
    4. click on the teams link. When prompted, log in again as the personal account and select "join on web".
    5. a login loop is created, where you are redirected to the teams log in page and asked to log in again. Selecting "join anonymously" allows you to join the meeting but not as a presenter. The joined external person does not show up in the list of attendees, and so can not be granted control of the meeting in that way either.

If i try it with the thick teams application, i get the below message, indicating that i have no rights to use teams.

Can you guys at microsoft not reproduce this extremely simply and one would think common use case?

We have the issue where even if we have invited a guest (hotmail email address) and we've invited them as a presenter, they get in as an attendee.  We double checked our guest access and its open wide as per the screenshot but they are never added in as a presenter.  Frustrating.

We were able to get this to work 50% of the time.

The guest user needs to be joining via the Teams app, not the web browser.

I will check with our tenant admin to ensure these are the settings.
