I want to know about teams M1 support as teams through rosetta glitches and Touch Bar controls especially leave button doesn't work. When can we get an arm based M1 apple silicon optimized teams?

What features are you talking about that don't exist in the browser but do on the client?

Here's what I did. Kind of a hack, but so far it is working out nicely.

Edge is also compiled for M1, so I opened Teams in Edge and made it an "app". Voila, M1 optimized teams in its own window.

That will actually not help as it is basically running in a separate edge webpage without an address bar, it's same as running teams on a browser. That would probably do for people who don't need all features of teams, but for those who do I guess we still have to go with the x86 version of MS Teams.

Teams currently uses quite a bit of power in comparison with other apps (Slack). It would be great to be able to use Teams for longer without needing to live near a power cable.
