Hi Joawn,
I have come across this issue, (blank box when launching Teams which looks like it is the credentials entry box), on a fair number of machines. It is completely random affecting Macs with any macOS version from 10.13 through to latest 10.15 patch.
it is a repeating issue for some users but others, such as myself, have never seen it.
I have tried doing the full manual uninstall including removing all cache & settings files. Installing newer versions doesn't resolve the issue. Updating to newer versions doesn't resolve the issue.
The issue only seems to happen with 1.00.3 versions and will happen with every subversion I try.
The ONLY way I have found to resolve the issue for a user is to install a 1.00.2 version after deleting the following files/folders:
/Application/Microsot Teams.app
/Library/Application Support/<All Teams related files>
/Library/Caches/<All Teams related files>
/Library/Preferences/<All Teams related files>
~/Library/Application Support/<All Teams related files>
~/Library/Caches/<All Teams related files>
~/Library/Preferences/<All Teams related files>
THEN
Install a 1.00.2xxxxxx version. This works at resolving the issue. I've done it on about 40machines, with a variety of OS versions, repeatedly on some as whenever Teams auto updates to the newer 1.00.3 version on these Macs it breaks in exactly the same
way again and can be resolved, again, with the above steps.
Weird issue.
Weird app.... and don't even get me on to how the text input box when Command Tab-ing to Teams does not become active. An issue that MS have not being able to fix by using the Macs notifications system in nearly 18months from when the feature request was
noted as starting to be implemented....
