In MS Teams , I cannot share my Desktop / Application Windows. Teams alerts me that it needs Screen Recording permissions, although I have actually granted these before, and the regarding boxes in System Preferences are already ticked.
I have the newest version of Catalina and Teams. Nevertheless I don´t know exactly which applications are blocking the Teams screen sharing and why., I have followed all suggestions such as using the online version, same issue occurs, removing VPNs and rebooting and updating apps and the mac itself......I use Teams constantly for work and this is causing me a major hassle!
Thanks

Go into System Preferences, then SECURITY AND PRIVACY, Then SCREEN RECORDING. You may have to click on the lock on the bottom to be able to make changes, but after enabling the checkmark beside MS Teams, close the System Preferences and restart Teams.
(For some versions of MacOS you may need to keep System Preferences open, or it won't work for you)
If you want to share a window instead of a screen, the window MUST be on the same Space as Teams. Use Mission Control (or three finger swipe up) to check.
I had the same issue and this is what I did to work around it.
I turned off my firewall and also did the following actions on my Mac.
Go into System Preferences and do the following steps:
System Preferences > Sharing > Service: Screen Sharing, check the box to the left of Screen Sharing.
Make sure to verify which users can share their screen.
If you will be sharing files make sure to check the box next to > Service: File Share.
Also select Options and check Share file sand folders SMB and select the account on the Mac which will be sharing the file (you will need to enter the password for the user to allow this action).
Hopefully this helps with Mac users and utilization of Microsoft Teams.
I found that using teams in a floating window on my desktop (not fullscreen) worked for me (not the principal teams window, but the meeting window), I´m also using the last version of teams and the latest version of Catalina, and I find it infuriating that a company that has thousands of millions of dollars hasn´t been able to solve the issue, and us users have to just use some inconvenient workaround to try and fix the issue.
Is everyone still having this problem?? Teams won't even come up in the screen recording section...
