Teams calls with WH-1000XM3

Hi all,

I have an issue with my headphones (WH-1000XM3) when having teams calls probably after the last team update to version 1.5.00.28361 as it was working fine before. The issue is that I cannot use the stereo setting when on call which provides the noise cancellation feature of my headphones. Please note that this feature works fine in all the other applications I am using including youtube, skype etc.

So here are my default settings which won't give me noise cancellation.

If I switch to stereo I only hear my voice. (cannot hear the rest that is in the call)

    @nsmith: Thanks for the suggestion.

    I tried updating MS Teams but It says that you're on the latest version i.e. 1.6.00.6754 (64 bit version).

    Are you sure that the version Teams Version 1.6.00.9379 (64-bit) would fix this. I mean, did you have the same issue with older version and it got fixed after updating to 9379.

    just one more update:

    Headphone's working as expected with Web version of Teams. So that confirms the issue with Teams app version

    @Devdoot S - Noise cancellation was not working at all for me in Teams through April 19th. On April 20th, I started testing the work preview version where I found it was resolved and used that version exclusively until April 25th.

    Yesterday (April 25th), I switched back to the production version and found that it was working again in version 1.6.00.9379. Reading through the updater logs, it looks to me like I was running verison 1.6.00.6754 up until about 6 PM on the 19th. The next entry in the log is April 20th at 11 AM showing version 1.6.00.9379, but by then I had already switched.

    I cannot rule out that using the work preview changed something like a shared configuration or library because of the overlapping timelines. It will be interesting to see what others see when they get the latest version in the production channel.

    I just updated to 1.6.00.11166 and the problem is still present, at least on Windows 11 which I use.
