Teams Won't Let Me Into My Own Meeting

Just had had a regional FC for a client call in having this issue. It was for a meeting with the group owner's son (100,000+ employees globally). Goes down really well when you have to tell them Microsoft have known about this bug since 2019 according to the posts I'm reading, it still isn't resolved, and we're most of the way through a Teams rollout we recommended.

Are we really meant to tell senior execs to not use Outlook anymore to plan meetings from their calendars, when many have been been doing so for 15+ years? And to log into the Teams Web GUI as a workaround? "Please plan some meetings in outlook, but can you do the Teams calls meetings invite from Teams?"

This should be number 1 in list of bugs to fix, when it is part of the most commonly used core functionality that Teams & Outlook are meant to provide together.

I understand your frustration and the many 1000 posts on this issue. As a Microsoft Alumni, I have located the problem, as I also could replicate it and I have requested that the product team finds a solution, as it should be critical to Microsoft to have outlook and teams functioning seamlessly.

A workaround is a part-time solution, which you did not have before, and until the team fixes this you can still use teams without error.

There is a sycronisation problem at the moment from outlook to teams. You need to book your teams meeting directly in teams and not in outlook, then it will work.

The reason was that the profile is not synchronising correctly in outlook if the meeting was booked in teams it would work.

Do not book meetings in teams until Microsoft solves the sync issue, teams does work with this solution and you will not get the error.

You may try to schedule Teams meeting via using your onmicrosoft.com' account on Teams desktop client and then check whether you can join your own meeting. See Schedule a meeting in Teams

When you say “I cannot log in through my work email as I have no access and no means of gaining access (I am an contractor using the client firms email server)”, do you mean that you can’t access Teams via using your work email account?

Moreover, regarding “I want to be able to use my own Office 365 Business Premium account to create Teams Meetings and send them through my work email address”, please provide us with the detailed steps screenshot which you have tried via the Private Message so that we can better understand and further assist you.
