Teams Audio Messages not working

Hi,

We just started using MS Teams. One of my coworkers has troubles using audio messages on his Android phone. When he taps on the little microphone to record a message, he gets this error message: "Error recording audio".

Since audio messages is something we use very frequently, this is a bit of a problem. I tried to google the problem to find out more, but I can't find any reference to this error on the internet.

Recording audio messages works fine for everybody else, so I'm a bit stumped as to what's happening here.

Can anybody help?

So there is an update.

Microsoft identified this as a bug with Intune. A fix is scheduled for the end of August 2020.

    I dont know for sure if MAM (app protection) is blocking the MIC. With Work Profiles it still works. I have a ticket opened with them and sent them logs etc.

    Its very buggy!

    Microsoft PLEASE FIX

    Interesting, that's new information to me. We have Intune app protection policies in place too.

    Is there some way we can bring this thread to Microsoft's attention again? I feel like they're not tracking it anymore.

    Hi all, 

    I just started experiencing this issue. It happened when I started deploying app protection policies via Intune. App protection does to good of a job that it blocks apps from interacting with system resources.

    Is there a fix for this Microsoft?
