When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.
I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 with MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.
Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?
It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet.

2022-10-31T21:24:55+00:00 Initially it is to hold the + & - simultaneously. However, his only addresses it if you are not toggling back and forth with the TEAMS MUTE. Seems a software change in TEAMS side caused the teams mute button to force a headset device mute as well.

2022-11-01T01:35:42+00:00 I have the same problem, and I am currently unable to find a long-term solution.
What I did, each time start a meeting in Teams:
- On Teams, click the three dots.
- Select Device Setting.
- At Microphone, I choose another Microphone array (as long as other than Headset Aftershokz)
Along the meeting, there is no longer any beeping.
However, when I spoke/unmuted, the input/microphone was detecting from the laptop itself as opposed to Afthershokz, which may be minor noisy.
