Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
As 07/13/22, I am still having this problem with Aftershokz OpenComm and it is extremely annoying during business meetings.

When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.
I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 with MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.
Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?
It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet.

I'm facing the same issues with some shenneiser 450BT headphones. Is this annoying bug already in the roadmap?
Hi Guys,
I just notice with my friend. She using Shokz Opencomm instead of Aftershokz Aeropax like mine and she does not have the beeping issue while the mic is mute in Teams. I search around and found that Opencomm using bluetooth 5.1 while Aeropax using 4.2. Will this make sense because I'm using older bluetooth version?
This worked for me
My issue is finally resolved by using the USB BT dongle from afterShokz. I called the support and requested it.
It's free if you are registerd and you are not out of wannraty yet. However, I think they will help you out anyway due to this issue.
Now, I can use the Team Desktop version as before.
