Loud Beeping when Muted in a MS Teams Call

Same here, please fix!

This happens for me on the Bluetooth Aftershokz headset as well. Not only is it extremely annoying but also very LOUD beeping!

I know of multiple people with this same issue.

When will we get a proper fix for this?

When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.

I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 wiht MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.

Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?

It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised they haven't addressed this yet.

I think I solved this. On the answer button press one short press, then hold the same button a bit longer, after the release it should say "mute off". Teams are still muted but the "buy a microsft headset"-beep is gone. Thank god!

Sad thing is you only have this strange hack one time per teams call. Restarting the headset and pretend you understood (even thou u missed halfed the sentence) might give another mute chance
