I can confirm that the beeping when muted only when using the Teams desktop application. When I use the web Teams browser the beeping goes away.

When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.
I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 with MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.
Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?
It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet.

Same issue with Aftershokz OpenComm, started today, May 10, 2022
Hello Shyamal,
Yes -- this issue is happening on Teams web client and desktop client. When I try to report the problem on the Teams app, I don't have the option to "Report a problem". I can only "Give feedback" or "Suggest a feature".
I worked with the Aftershockz team to have a workaround. However, as you can see by the multiple comments to my post, this is still an issue with Microsoft Teams.
Same problem, same Opencomm headset. I updated Bluetooth drivers to the latest Intel drivers this morning, no improvement.
This is really a kick in the teeth, as the Opencomms have been just about perfect since I got them more than 6 months ago.
My OpenComm does this too. I've just started to turn off my headset and use my camera's mic and computers speakers for calls I know I will not be participating in. I've reverted back to using Zoom when I have a preference to avoid this loud beeping.
