Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
I can confirm that the Shokz Loop 100 adapter works fine, and corrects the problem. Didn’t like spending $50 on it, but at least it’s fixed.

When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.
I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 with MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.
Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?
It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet.

Unfortunately, the root cause of this issue is that muting Teams *also* mutes the headset at the operating system/Bluetooth level.
I can uncheck that mute button, but it re-mutes as soon as I toggle the mute in Teams.
Anyway, I finally corrected the problem with the Shokz Loop 100 adapter.
Yeah I got the same... When that lady said Mute Off, everyone else can hear it. I don't use Aftershockz anymore for MS Teams for the time being until MS fixes it...
In addition to the lovely beeping noise, each time I un-mute and Ashley (or whatever they call her) helpfully states 'mute off' and everyone can hear it.
Anyone else having same issue? If so, is it corrected by the dongle??
This used to work for me but not any more, I assume because of a recent driver update. The Windows and Teams mute setting is now in sync!
