Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
I have the same experience. It seems deliberate on Microsoft's part and just mean. And short sighted.

When using my Aftershokz OpenComm during a call, I hear a loud beeping noise when I mute myself during the call. This beeping only goes away when I unmute. I've contacted Aftershokz, and they've assured me this is due to a recent MS Teams update causing connectivity issues.
I've also read other non-Microsoft forums and realize this is apparently an issue since 2021 with MS Teams and multiple brands of headphones/headsets. However, it only recently started for me today, April 18, 2022.
Is Microsoft doing anything to solve this issue? Is there a solution to this?
It seems to be making many users upset and frustrated. I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't addressed this yet.

The latest Teams update has caused this issue to show up again. Hopefully they will fix this again. I find it interesting as well that when my Aftershockz are in use with Teams, that I can not utilize the head sets button to mute the device as well. Teams seems to have taken over the hardware controls of the device. I can only mute the headset thru the Teams application, which causes the headphones to beep every few seconds. The beep is very loud and interrupts being able to listen to everyone. This was fixed for about a 8 months. Only happens when you use Teams.
I have the same problem, there is no problem with the web client, this happen ONLY in MS teams desktop app.
Best Regards
