shokz headset beeping on mute during Teams meetings

After the latest Teams update a couple of weeks ago, my shokz headset started making a loud beep 2 times every 10 seconds when I am on mute. How can I stop this beep?

    So everyone, I have a possible workaround. Change the device Microphone to the device (PC Mic or Desktop webcam Mic) keep the speaker source to the OpenShokz and mute the call. When you need to speak switch the mic back to Openshokz to speak. It's the MUTE notification causing the beeping sound hence this would mitigate the same. Its a bit tedious but it works for now .

    so the fix I found was to disable the button sync.

    via '...' next to your profile pic -> settings -> Devices -> Sync device buttons downside: you cannot control the volume via the headset.
