Teams - Revert to Classic Emojis

Greetings!

Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

Thanks for any insight!

Fair enough. Maybe half of my coworkers dislike them; I haven't heard from the others, so they could be ambivalent.

And Microsoft: Please note how the use of one of the new Teams emoji would have absolutely killed the mood of the above post. Please facilitate communication rather than limiting it. Not everything can be said in a playful manner.

No we can't let it be a per-user option. Then we don't even know what the other person will see if we use them!

This must be a full mea culpa by the manager who led this change. 100% revert. Pretend it didn't happen.

These thing just make me angry, they are so OBVIOUSLY awful.

The wink emoji looks like a pirate...my entire company uses Teams for communication and I don't know anyone who likes the new emojis. Fire the designer who thought they were publishable and at least offer an option to use classic emojis

I end up using Windows Key+. for emojis, which is annoying because they default to small size and then I have to edit and increase the size

btw, emojis are now important in business setting with who prevalent online communication is. It conveys the intent of the person's typed words, so that the readers don't misinterpret 😉

I don't have an answer for you, but I strongly agree. The emojis are unusable and creepy. Thanks for asking the question.
