Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

Think about the situation from Microsoft's perspective. Change is expensive.
So we paid more for the product, for them to make this change that nobody asked for and which makes the product worse.
My sampling was not just from the thread. Colleagues and coworkers who also use Teams and are not on this thread same viewpoint. So the sampling in this thread pretty much matches others outside of the thread.
I couldn't agree more. I was extremely dismayed when I logged into Teams a month or so ago and saw the new emojis. At the Department of Veterans Affairs, we use Teams extensively to communicate with our co-workers within our own facilities as well as with colleagues all across the country. Since many staff are teleworking, Teams has become even more integral to effective business communication as well as a way to stay in contact with our co-workers casually. For this reason, use of emojis has become a part of the culture. Having attractive, appropriate, descriptive, and highly emotive symbols of how we are feeling is extremely important. The new emojis are strange-looking, unattractive, and difficult to see and differentiate, not to mention not overly representative of normal emotions one wants to convey in a business or even personal environment. There seems to be a lot of repetition among the emojis without obvious differences, and the opportunities to create nuanced and highly evolved representations was missed. On top of all that, some of the emojis I personally loved and used often are missing (in particular, the embarrassed but cute face--the one with slightly blushing cheeks and a sheepish smile). How is it possible that a search for "embarrassed" brings up nothing?? And the face palm emoji currently available does not look amusingly frustrated or embarrassed like before, but now just looks sick and angry. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes chagrin, embarrassment, or a "mea culpa" needs to be expressed and my go-to emojis have left the building. :-( Geez, guys! Did you do a test market before rolling these out? Maybe you could have used the services of a behavioral/personality consultant to get the emotions more spot-on? Anyway, I'm not a fan, and I have not met anyone yet who is. While there may be some who love the new style, I think there are a lot of us who don't. Please, this is America. Can we at least have the ability to choose to use the new ones or to use the old ones?
Agreed. See my objection on the original announcement blog post by Microsoft.
Second this, please give the option to Admins, those new Emojis are HORRIBLE.
