Opening Teams app using link on a Mac

Hi,

When I get a link in an e-mail on my Mac (using outlook as e-mail client), neither Safari nor Chrome recognize that I have the desktop app installed and I can only view using the web app.  Any ideas on how to solve this?  My IT department is no help on this.  I have reinstalled Teams multiple times, rebooted, etc.

    I love this, software that needs user work, hours to find out how or not. For me, if some commercial software is not plug and play and does not work as pretended, the producer should be liable by law and the user should be payed if he needs support...

    The fact is that Microsoft is incompetent, even on its own platform.

    DUMP TEAMS and use a cross-platform solution from a company that gives a rat's ****.

    I do believe it is in part due to Apple's restrictions and MS poor programming.

    I get a message in the Developer's console saying "Ignoring request to load this main resource because it has a custom protocol and comes from a sandboxed iframe" when I click open in Teams App on the Safari webpage that appears when I click any meeting invitation link. As noted previously, this used to work previously before upgrading to the latest version of Teams and macOS 12.3.1.

    I also have the same problem and it is very annoying.

    The link only takes me to the Safari web-page and never opens the app.

    Meeting invites works fine, but access to Teams sites (files) does not work.

    Thank you for posting. When you say “I get a link in an e-mail on my Mac (using outlook as e-mail client)”, do you mean that Join Microsoft Teams Meeting link or else?

    If you are referring to meeting may I know whether you can Join from calendar in Teams desktop client? See Join a meeting in Teams
