Many of the members of our Team have a "GIF" button along with the emoji and format buttons, but I have never had the ability to add gifs to my chats. I have no idea why this would be happening.

I'm a global admin for my company and couldn't figure out why I didn't have giphy on my teams, despite having the authority to give myself the permission.

while it is possible it's disabled by either an org admin or just the team owner, I found that the icon will also disappear if "optional connected experiences" is not enabled, under privacy in settings.

I was able to send GIF's yesterday but the button is gone this morning. I asked my office mate, he still has the ability. I don't dare ask the rest of my staff as it could cause some upset people! The use of GIF's is how we all blow off steam, have fun & lighten the mood. Why would MS ditch it??

I came across this thread and it was not helpful. it says to reach out to the owner of the teams account. so I did a better search and found this guy on youtube.in your desktop teams click on the top right "..." icon. click settings then privacyand at the bottom it says optional connected experiences and make sure that is tabbed to "ON" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teynbUP-irE
