MS Teams Crashes when using a camera

I am experiencing regular crashes of MS teams when i enable either the internal or an external camera. 

The separate camera app works fine as does camera capabilities in other video apps such as zoom.

am running win 10

    Just adding that I have the same issue with the hope that MS take notice and work on a fix. As soon as I try and enable video, Teams crashes. Works fine in web version of Teams and in other apps.

    I can't believe this issue hasn't been solved yet. I'm using Logitech C920 and when I turn on my webcam Teams just crashes and re-starts saying that there is a glitch and it is now "ready to go". Which it clearly isn't. I'm also on a Uni computer so I don't have permissions to uninstall and reinstall the older version.

    And Microsoft wonder why people don't update their software, if it works don't fix it (with your spyware/adware/tracking software - "Update camera app from windows store" - yeah right *cough cough*).

    Btw found that I could still use the Webcam for sound, so I can still have Teams meetings with the sound off, just don't turn on the video or it will crash. But it really is a joke!

    I found a work around that works when using Canon DSLR cameras as a webcam. Using a Canon 100D.

    Creating a Virtual Webcam with Obs Studio.

    First you need to Install Obs Studio. Available for download here: https://obsproject.com/download

    Then install the Obs Virtualcam add on from here: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-virtualcam.949/

    Then follow the steps to create a vitual cam:

    1. Select Tools -> VirtualCam in the main OBS Studio window
    2. Press the Start button, then close the dialog
    3. Open your program (Zoom, Hangouts, Skype, etc.) and choose OBS-Camera as your webcam

    Don't forget to start the webcam in Obs.

    Having said that this issue needs to be addressed in Teams.

    I had the same issue with the most actual version from november 1.3.00.24758.

    i tried all recommended tips in this chat, nothin helped (reinstalled teams several times with deleting all folders/files etc, checking windows, disk drivers, reinstalled camera driver etc).

    funnywise with skype all the time no issue with the same camera

    camera app doesnt still cant detect the camera

    en/disabling GPU support no effect

    only solution for me: rolling back to last 64 bit version: 1.3.00.15561 (64 bits)

    now it works like a charm ... lets see ...

    Until MS Teams  will auto update...
