MS Teams Crashes when using a camera

I am experiencing regular crashes of MS teams when i enable either the internal or an external camera. 

The separate camera app works fine as does camera capabilities in other video apps such as zoom.

am running win 10

    Exact same issue for me using Sony a5100 as a webcam with sony imaging edge software. Using v 1.3.00.30866. 

    worked fine earlier this morning - jow broken. 

    I have the exact same issue with Sony Imaging Webcam and Teams v 1.3.00.30866.  Teams web app works, Webex, Skype, etc. works.  Teams Desktop app is the only software that crashes when I start the webcam.  It works with the laptop inbuilt webcam.  The desktop won't work with the external camera.

    I have the same issue and am also using the Canon EOS Utility (CEU). Note that for me the issue only started after upgrading the CEU to the latest version (was using the Beta prior, which didn't have this issue).

    Uninstalling Teams, removing everything in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams and then reinstalling Teams seems to solve it, at least until the next day (reboot I guess). After going through the reinstallation it'll work just fine all day.

    Yes! This worked like a charm! But I worry about Teams auto-updating and breaking again. Anyone know how to turn off auto-update of Teams? My understanding is you can't...

    Just tried it. Same error - crashing with "There was a glitch" message. I'm using the Canon EOS Web Utility with an M6 MKII. Frustrating...
